There are many different doodle apps available. In 2nd grade, the students begin learning cursive and this has been a great and enjoyable experience for them by using the iPad. For the letters that they are having trouble with, I write them in blue ink and they trace over them in red ink. For some of the kids, tracing the letters with their fingers before writing it with their pencil helps them manage the fluid motion of forming the letters.
